Buying your first home is exciting—but let’s be honest, it can also feel a little overwhelming. As someone who works with first-time buyers often, I totally get it. There’s a lot to learn, and it’s easy to feel like you’re in over your head.

That’s where I come in. My job is to guide you through the process with honesty, clarity, and zero pressure. If you're just getting started, here are five things I want you to know:

1. You Don’t Need 20% Down

A lot of people think they need a massive down payment to buy a home. Not true! Many loan programs only require 3–5% down, and there are even options with no money down for qualifying buyers. A good lender will walk you through your choices—and I can help connect you with one.

2. Pre-Approval Is Your Power Move

Before you start touring homes, getting pre-approved by a lender is a must. It tells you how much you can afford, strengthens your offer, and shows sellers you're serious. It’s one of the very first steps we’ll take together.

3. There’s No “Perfect” Home—But There Is a Right One for You

Every home will have its quirks. What matters most is finding a home that fits your lifestyle, budget, and long-term goals. I’ll help you stay focused on what really matters (and not get caught up in shiny but impractical extras).

4. You’re Not Doing This Alone

When you work with me, you’re not just getting a real estate agent—you’re getting a trusted guide, negotiator, and advocate. From day one to closing day (and beyond), I’ll be right by your side answering questions, solving problems, and cheering you on.

5. Central Ohio Is a Fantastic Place to Plant Roots

Whether you're drawn to the charm of Marion, the buzz of Columbus, or the quiet of the suburbs, Central Ohio has so much to offer—from great schools to growing communities. I’d love to help you discover the right fit for your future.

Thinking about buying your first home? Let’s grab coffee or chat on the phone—no pressure, just friendly guidance. You’ve got big dreams, and I’m here to help make them happen.
